A course offering different activities including games, quizzes, texts and exercises to practise your English skills. The aim is to improve your fluency when speaking and your understanding when listening or reading. It will also help you find the words you need and if necessary explain any grammar you find difficult. You do not have to be perfect only willing to try your best to speak and learn. Perhaps you will make new friends in the process. Course requirements: level B1 Learning objectives of the course: Learners improve their communicative skills by discussing a wide range of general topics, aiming to achieve greater fluency and confidence when interacting with both native and non-native speakers of English. Learners address and reduce remaining grammatical difficulties by systematically combining lexis and syntax in spoken and written communication. Learners activate their existing (passive) vocabulary and expand their lexical resources through the use of linguistic building blocks such as prefixes, suffixes, antonyms, and synonyms. Conversation Plus is a course for people wishing to practise, maintain and hopefully improve their English skills at the B2/C1 level in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. The focus will be on speaking so you need to be willing to talk (in English of course) about many different topics. There will be various activities and exercises designed to address grammar issues as well as extending and activating your vocabulary. Participants can of course express their own particular wishes and I will do my very best to fulfil them. Learning objectives of the course: In compliance with the requirements for B2/C1 level of linguistic competence CEF – independent to advanced user ability: Communication skills training at a more advanced level, involving complex topics and requiring requisite fluency and understanding.
