English Conversation Plus B2/C1
Conversation Plus is a course for people wishing to practise, maintain and hopefully improve their English skills at the B2/C1 level in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. The focus will be on speaking so you need to be willing to talk (in English of course) about many different topics. There will be various activities and exercises designed to address grammar issues as well as extending and activating your vocabulary. Participants can of course express their own particular wishes and I will do my very best to fulfil them.
Learning objectives of the course:
In compliance with the requirements for B2/C1 level of linguistic competence CEF – independent to advanced user ability: Communication skills training at a more advanced level, involving complex topics and requiring requisite fluency and understanding. Effective verbal presentation of opinions, arguments and theories Further acquisition and activation of lexis with reference to collocation and word building strategies to aid understanding of written texts as well as spoken English.Resolving any residual grammatical issues systematically using B2 and C1 type resource material designed to prepare for UCLES examinations
